Delivery and Returns Policy

Delivery Charges:

www.oil-lamp.co.uk is intended primarily for UK customers and our charges for UK mainland deliveries are as follows: -

* Orders over £50.00:

Free Next Working Day delivery (on orders placed before 1pm & subject to stock at the time of ordering).

* Orders under £50.00:

£4.60 (Next Working Day Service as standard)

* Before 12pm Next Day Delivery:

£14.95

* Saturday Delivery:

£34.50

* Collection for Portsmouth Warehouse:

No Delivery Charges (Please call us on 02392 373735 before collection, to check stock).

 

Notes:

Next Day means next working day and excludes weekends and Bank Holidays. Next Day or Saturday deliveries are subject to stock availability and confirmation of the same.  If you require a Next Day delivery service, Before 12pm service or Saturday delivery service, we must receive your order before 1pm, on the day of despatch.

Deliveries to Northern Ireland, UK Islands and some areas of northern Scotland may attract an additional delivery charge (see chart below), but we will always seek your approval of this before processing your order.

Deliveries outside the UK will be subject to additional charges, which we will confirm before processing your order (see price guide below).   There may also be delays whilst we arrange suitable shipment.  Customers should note that they would be responsible for all import duties and taxes.

We aim to deliver all orders to UK mainland addresses within 5/7 working days from receipt of order, however, certain products may be on an extended delivery period. Will always advise you of this and await your acceptance before proceeding with your order. We will use all reasonable endeavours to deliver your goods within the time stated but we will not be liable for any loss caused to you by late delivery.  If you do not receive your goods within the stated delivery period please contact us immediately by e-mail or telephone.

On receipt of the goods please inspect carefully for damage and advise the carrier's driver accordingly. If you are unable to fully inspect the goods for whatever reason, please sign the consignment note as "unexamined". Should you sign the consignment note as "received in good condition" or fail to comment on the consignment note  (“unexamined” / “Damaged” etc), you may be liable for any damages.

Any damages should be advised via e-mail to us within 24 hours of receipt to avoid additional charges.

Prices stated below are for guidance only.   The stated prices include UK VAT and are based on a single package weighing less than 30KG and approximate dimensions of less than H0.95m x W0.5m x L0.5m.   We will do our very best to keep the cost of shipping to a minimum, but certain items on our website may require more than one package.

How to Order from Overseas.

Step 1.  Email us or Telephone +44 (0) 2392 373735   with your list of products and your country of residence.

Step 2.  We will reply with the total courier cost, based on your list of products. We will also confirm the total payment required.

Step 3.  If you wish to proceed, please Email us with your full name, full address (including post code), Telephone number (mobile and landline if applicable).

Step 4.  We will construct an order for you via our website, including the cost for shipping to your location.  We will also email you with bank details for Direct Bank Transfer (if outside of the UK).

Step 5.  Once payment has been received into our account, we will despatch the goods to your location.  Please allow 4-5 Working Days for the goods to arrive to your address.

 

Please note that certain fragile items or large items may not be possible to ship outside of the UK.   Please email us with your choice of products and we will inform you if your specific item or items cannot be shipped.

We also ship internationally and can also provide pallet shipments within the UK, Europe and various International destinations. For larger orders, please Contact us for more details and pricing.

Note: Overseas Returns & Warranty

The cost of returning any items to www.oil-lamp.co.uk is at the customers cost.  The return carriage costs of sending repaired/replaced items from www.oil-lamp.co.uk to customers outside of the UK Mainland will need to be paid for by the customer, in advance of despatch from www.oil-lamp.co.uk.

 

Returns Policy - UK Mainland

If you are not satisfied with your purchase for any reason and you wish to return any goods please advise us via e-mail or by letter.  The Company will advise you of the necessary steps to be taken via e-mail and must approve all returns outside the 14 day period referred to below before you dispatch the Goods back to us.

You can return your Goods in their original condition to:

You will be responsible for the Goods until they reach us, so it is our recommendation that you use a secure delivery method, which requires a signature on delivery. 

Providing the Goods are returned in their original packaging and condition and within 14 working days of their delivery to you, the Company will issue a replacement or full refund to the total value of the Goods less delivery charges.

The buyer will be responsible for the safe return of the Goods to the Company.  However, if you return Goods to us which are faulty or that you have received by mistake or for any other reason, which is deemed to be our fault, we will refund all payments made to us and also pay for the return postage.
